Dear Members
of District 2:
I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Director. I am humbled by this assignment and honored by the support I have received from our members as well as the NATA administration. Our district is a trendsetter in our professional organization in many different ways. Every one of us should be proud of our status as a district and the leadership that has served as well as those that will serve in the future. It is the willingness of our members to be involved in every aspect of our profession that sets us apart. With that said, I would also submit that we do not have time or the luxury of resting. These are great times with great accomplishments and developments. These are also times of change. The future of our profession is in the balance of battles being fought on many different fronts. More than ever before, we need the involvement of our membership. I would also submit that this means our future membership as well. I welcome your input and questions concerning the issues that face us. I want you to know that I am very much aware of the membership. I will try to be sensitive to every need and issue. There will be issues that will be disturbing to our members as has been the case in the past. Unfortunately, the needs of the many sometimes outweigh the needs of the few, but I promise to be mindful of the district at all times when discussing all issues. I will ask for your support from time to time on sensitive issues. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. If I know the answer, I will tell you if I can. If I do not know the answer, I will do everything I can to get it for you.
I would like to thank the District Executive Council for their service. Barry McGlumphy and Mike Goldenberg are the heart and soul of our District 2 Executive Board. They, coupled with four extremely strong state presidents are what makes the executive council tick. I am thankful for their past and future service to the district and the Athletic Training Profession as a whole.
Again, thank you for your support, and please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. If you are interested in being involved in a leadership role, please contact one of the members of the District Executive Council or your local leadership.
